Lancaster Match Report 2024
The third event of the Parrots golf season was held at Lancaster Golf Club last Thursday.
Sadly the original date for this event was the previous Thursday and the event promised to witness the highest turnout of Parrots ever .... but then the weather got in the way!! Torrential rain the day before led to the course being closed for much of the day and so it was decided to postpone the event. Inevitably that led to many people being unable to make the revised fixture (myself included) and so only eight players were able to make the rearrangement.
I don't have any details of the day itself, but nevertheless congratulations to Stuart Weston who won the day with a no doubt hard fought 31pts on a tricky course in tricky conditions. Second on countback was Pete Corsby on 30pts.
Handicap changes from Lancaster are as follows :-

The weather affected start to the 2024 golf season has already seen tomorrows event transferred from Grange to Knott End, where hopefully Mother Nature will play ball, fingers crossed!! See you there.
